Iowa needs B.J Armstrong for its basketball coach

Iowa needs to start fresh and hire a young exciting person as their basketball head coach. B.J Armstrong would be perfect. Class act that kids would love to play for. NBA player and scout, no one would fit Iowa basketball better

Yeah, because he has such a sterling record as a head coach. I'm not saying he couldn't do it but I can't see us hiring a guy with a 0-0 coaching record.

BJ Armstrong is a well respected Hawkeye. Why would he want to come and be a coach and mess that up? Because if he does not win....EVERYONE will turn against him and kick him out of Iowa City. I wouldn't want that to happen to BJ.

BJ is a super-agent right now. He has Derrick Rose as one of his clients. He is unlikely to ever coach. He likes living in LA.

BJ is D. Rose's agent. Why would he give up that gig to come and coach at Iowa? If you want BJ to come to Iowa he would have to give up that gig.....which sounds pretty cushy. I imagine he is probably developing a nice group of clients.

BJ is not leaving that gig. Especially since D Rose is getting a max deal after his rookie contract is done

Being a super sports agent would have to be one of the best jobs in the world...although the stress of having to negotiate your clients getting 60 million over 5 years or 30 million over 3 years could weigh pretty heavy.

Point is B.J was interested in the job when lickliter was hired. The youth still know who B.J is and I believe he would attract talented players to Iowa.
