Iowa msu loser to rose bowl?

According to espn predictions they have michigan state in the rose and osu in Fiesta vs notre dame...if the season ended today. Osu up to 6th hurts us with no upsets helps us if there is one upset as it looks loke Ohio state is poised to take alabama or clemson spot if upset. Stanford could possibly lose to usc as well.

I don't know how the selection pecking order process works but I can guarantee you the fiesta and college football in general would drool over an Ohio state/notre dame matchup. It would get better ratings than the playoff semifinals

If iowa loses, you'd think the rose bowl would be tickled pink with a stanford/iowa game.

But f*** it. How about iowa just wins

I thought this for a while...but now I think if Iowa plays MSU mighty tough but drops the game, we go to Pasadena.
If the Hawks get beat by double digits then we will probably do the ol Peach thing.
We win, best case scenario of course.

This is where the CFP rankings suck in that if Iowa loses OSU will jump them in the Rose Bowl pecking order. Iowa at 12-1 vs OSU at 11-1, Iowa with better wins in the season vs OSU with their one win over a top 25 team being Michigan.

Teams that win their division and play the extra Champ Game should get better fate than this. And it could be the CFP Selection committee and Rose Bowl committe will take that into account.
