Now they are a-holes? Part of the reason we pay Ferentz god-awful sums of money each year is to deal with the BS that comes with having 115 18-22 years old under his review. And if he's going to stick with his "Aw shucks, I don't even know what social media is" attitude in an ever-changing environment that these kids are growing up in, he's going to continue to have to deal with BS as long as he coaches (in DJK's case). I'm still not sure what ARob did to deserve being called an a-hole...he screwed up in class and then got busted for pot, which constitute 2 terrible decisions. But I think you calling him an a-hole for it is the first time I've heard it.

Why are we paying him god-awful sums of money if the players should be running the show? I don't feel one bit sorry for these two idiots for being left off the highlight DVD. I can't think of many things that mean less.

No. It's not petty to leave two players who were kicked off the team out of a meaningless highlight video. The video is petty. The decision is not.

No, what I'm trying to say is that part of his job is dealing with BS (of varying degrees) that these kids generally stir up due to immaturity, homesickness, whatever, etc...

The insignificance of the video is trumped by whoever decided to cut those two out of the highlights seemingly trying to ignore the fact that without those two "idiots" we probably finish at .500 (or worse).
