I think Clemmons is much better than what he showed in the exhibition.
Gesell is just a really, really solid player.

So far in this thread, MG has been compared favorably to Andre Woolridge, Ronnie Lester, Jimmer Fredette, and Trey Burke.
But we're not reading too much into one exhibition game against a DII school.

I'm not going there just yet. I watched the game just to see how the new pieces move together and the competition was horrible. What I did take away regarding MG did get me excited. He's a pg that can score and distribute and doesn't fall down or lose the ball when he gets going in transition. What he turns into is up to him. However, I don't think there's any doubt the kid is going to be at least a decent ball player.
clemmons looked a lot worse than he is because of the line-change strategy used yesterday. the 2nd unit struggled to score for awhile.
in the pre-game interview, fran said that marble will be playing some PG this year, perhaps even with gesell playing off the ball a bit.
i am fairly certain that we will be looking at a main rotation of:
gesell
marble
white
mccabe
woody
basabe
oglesby
may
with clemmons and gabe getting 5-8 minutes per game each. i dont think you will ever see a situation in a contested game where gesell or marble are not on the floor like you saw yesterday.
