Iowa is a 3 point favorite over #7 Minny

I think this game may make/break the remainder of the schedule. Please Hawks, don't roll over and die for the Goofs.
Seeing Floyd go north could just tank the season.

Goofers offense is good. Goofers D is not all that and a bag. Its a game that can be won.

Our offense is really bad, and pretty much struggles against anybody. So should be a good matchup against the Minnesota defense. They have trouble stopping the run, so that means boy wonder Brian will come out slinging it around with receivers that struggle to get open, and a qb that is inaccurate as hell.

Toren Young? He turns a 20 yard gain into 5 with his slowness. Tyler Goodson should be our main back every single game. Seen enough of Young and Sargent plodding along not making it through holes before they close, if they even see the hole. There is no reason why Goodson should not be getting the majority of the carries.

All you have to do is watch Iowa football under KFz. Both our offenses and defenses love yards between the 20s. Not so much inside the red zone.

?? When's the last time we scored 3 TD's? With the win over Penn St. [which we failed to do] I blv Minny is for real. If the co aches maintain the status quo and unless Iowa opens it up and/or the defense holds the Gophers offense down, I think the score is lopsided in favor of the northerners: 30--10.

PSU's Franklin and his OC made some very dubious calls in goal to goal situations that probably cost them 8 to 12 points. MInny jumped on them early which is what you need to do and what Iowa has not been doing against favored opponents the last few years except that OSU beatdown. PSU had ample times to beat Minny but also give Minny coaches credit for not going conservative in that game. Minny was having trouble running the ball to eat clock so they kept aggressively passing the ball. I am not sure if KF would keep aggressively pass the ball late in a game with a lead.

Iowa might score 17-20 points, that’s pretty much the ceiling against opponents with a pulse. We’d just be so much better with Brain serving in the head coach role; this OC business just isn’t for him. Harks need him to be the next Orgeron.
