Iowa is a 3 point favorite over #7 Minny

The Hawks have their proverbial “backs against the wall.” This is a must win game or the Hawks could go into a late season collapse. If we don’t finish the season by winning out, we will have to listen to the haters for the rest of the year and into next fall. Worse part is that they would have an argument. Let’s hope we can win out and not be subjected to all the hate. The future does look bright with all the youngsters getting playing time.

The future always looks bright when you look through rose-colored glasses, my friend. To me, the future looks terrible as long as our offensive planning and schemes remain the same. We consistently have players moving on to play on Sunday, which proves that pro-caliber players are being choked by our inept system. Heres an idea: the freakin season is on the line!! does anyone here disagree? WHY NOT PULL YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR ASS MISTER OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR AND OPEN THE PLAYBOOK WIDE OPEN! Why not try, just one game, to score as many points as you can, instead of possessing the ball for 65% of the game, THEN LOSING ANY WAY? KF: WHEN IS IT GONNA SINK IN, BROTHER??? Give your son the ok to try to win vs Minny! Ok, rant over, truth be told, I don't really care about the rest of the season. It's basketball time for me!
 
Still hanging on to a top 25 rating. Get more positive reviews from polls than from Team Caddy, etc.
 
I think this game may make/break the remainder of the schedule. Please Hawks, don't roll over and die for the Goofs.
Seeing Floyd go north could just tank the season.

Goofers offense is good. Goofers D is not all that and a bag. Its a game that can be won.
 
Yep a strange point spread when Iowa cant beat a more highly rated team or team that is ahead of them in the standings.
 
Here is my take, not that it’s worth much. Iowa really has little to lose. We struggle when we have pressure to be top tier. Always have. In the “spoiler” roll we just play to win. We do fakes, blitz, and other things we should always do but our conservative approach holds us back. I think we win and for many it will only further fuel the frustration.
 
I think it HELPS us a ton MN won on national stage in final minute and fans rushed field, etc. Huge emotional win for them. We coming off a loss. Plays to our advantage this week.

I agree with you that they need to open things up. When they went up tempo it was like they got into a rhythm that way. I don’t know if you noticed but we are starting to employ some spread in our offense. I hope they just keep evolving in that direction. We are a better passing team than a running team. I’ve been saying all along we need to use the pass to open up the running game. I don’t know why they are just so stubborn and conservative.
