Maybe. If the Big Ten ever goes to 10 conference games, It might mean that the Iowa might have to give up 1 home game every 2 years. 7 home games 1 year, 6 home games the other year.

Honestly I hate this series, I would much rather play home and home against interesting teams like Tulane, teams from SEC, ACC, Pac 12. Iowa State is a no win game for Iowa.

I can understand why a lot of Iowans may want this game, but I don't. I'd love to see them play some Home/Away games against other power 5 schools.

If you live outside of Iowa, no one cares.

Nobody is stopping Iowa from scheduling Iowa State and Tulane in the same year. Heck some Big Ten teams even schedule 2 P5 teams OOC in the same year. Purdue and NW have done it recently. USC often schedules Notre Dame and another P5 school OOC in the same year.

If USC can schedule Notre Dame every year and still find ways to occasionally play other P5 schools, surely Iowa can find a way to play Iowa State every year and occasionally play other P5 teams.

It's the 2 games a year against MAC/FCS evel teams that Iowa does not need. 1 is enough.

i have no interest in Iowa State in any way, when they are preseason headliner it saddens me.
