Iowa-Illinois game almost sold out. GA tickets remain

General Admission tickets are the only seats available for tonights game.
They are located in the student section, starting at row 25.

Should be a nice atmosphere tonight.
 
The last time this happened Carver was overrun with the Orange Crush. I hope that is not the case tonight.

Unfortunately that is probably exactly what will happen. I guess I'll find out for myself...I leave for Iowa City in about 20 minutes.

I talked to students from Illinois and they said they're not bringing bus loads like they did last year.
I'm sure you'll have a few here and there, but certainly not an entire block behind the basket like last year.

Luckily, we're playing them during the winter break so a lot of students are home.
 
Gus Johnson is calling this game on BTN! So you know something crazy is going to happen.
 
I was supposed to be there tonight but I've been sick all week...used all my energy last night for the bowl game. I'll be ready for hoops and Gus J at 8 bells though.

Yeah last year sucked.

Here were some telling quotes.

LICKLITER: "Did they pay? OK, good."

BARTA: "When they showed themselves in their orange gear, the fan in me got riled up. I didn't like it. We've got to take offense to it as fans, and I'm including myself, we've got to fill up the house so there aren’t tickets available."



I hope Barta and Co. did due diligence this time and the Krush is limited.
 
Only 13 games in and Fran has the building sold out already. I think that's a sign of things to come as I believe fans are liking what they are seeing, especially style wise.

"May with the steal, throws it ahead to Gatens, HE FEEDS A TRAILING BASABE FOR THE TWO HAND SLAMMA JAMMA DING DONG! OH-HOHOHOoo MY GOODNESS!!!"

Half of the crowd stands up and goes nuts, cheering LOUDLY and clapping like they've never seen a dunk before...and the "other" half...the..."older half" lets out an even louder "SHHHHHHHHHHH! SIT DOWN! I CAN'T SEE THE GAME!"...
