Fran said White will be fine...Brommer out probably another three weeks..

Marble suffered a concussion 3rd or 4th day of practice and has been OUT since then.
 
well crap! so, are we going small ball then? just don't see Archie being able to be out there all game. sucks to hear that about Marble. good thing we have such a cake OOC schedule or we'd be really starting out behind the 8 ball
 
The most concerning comment that I've read is that Marble has not passed any of the concussion tests since the injury. Hope he's ok first and foremost and our PG depth is nonexistent.
 
This is certainly unfortunate, but overall I'd much rather have these sort of injuries in pre-season if it means they can hopefully get healthy and remain that way once games begin.
 
I thought Brommer would really take a big step forward in his senior year. Him being out this long certainly doesnt help that prognostication.

15 wins isn't abysmal.

5-8 wins is, and not being competitive in the losses, as well.

Even last year, with the lack of wins, Iowa wasn't abysmal. They took down the #6 team in the nation in the final B1G game of the year. They were competitive in most of the games they lost.

Precisely, nobody in the Big Ten wanted to play us near the end of the season. We almost took MSU out in the tournament. Gave them all they could handle. I really do believe we will surprise quite a few folk this season.

I expect to see a far more competitive team this year. I don't think we'll be "out" of any conference game this year, with the exception possibly of Purdue at their place.
 
Man all these injuries I thought this was Basketball not Football sounds like they play hard in practice. Although maybe they need to start practicing with the football team and show them how it feels like to make an effort.

OK the football comment was uncalled for I'm still a little upset, make that a lot upset.

Appropriate in this case. But counting down to when the apologists and Kool-Aid drinkers start showing up. 3... 2... 1...
