This is how crazy college basketball is...

8 minutes to go, PU has a 94% chance to win.
50 seconds to go, Iowa has a 75% chance to win.

This is why I love college BB, so much can happen, so fluid. But it's also maddening because of it.

I was actually disappointed when they fouled Marble towards the end. I liked our chances better if we could have eaten up some clock and maybe hit a 3 to go up 4 with 20 seconds left or so.

I like the 2-for-1 option Iowa had at the end there, but not making the FTs killed it for Iowa, as PU is not a good 3 pt shooting team. Going up 3 would have been huge for Iowa.

I know conventional wisdom says our chances were better after he was fouled, I just didn't like our chances of him making both. Even if he did, with our tendency to give up the quick 2, it would have come down to us making more free throws.

If they didn't foul we had a chance to go up 3 or 4 with under 30 seconds left. If we didn't score they would have been rushed to get a shot off quick and even if they did we probably would have had one more shot at the end. Either way that is the 2nd game we have blown where we had a huge advantage with under a minute left. If we win them both we would be playing for seed right now.

I literally puked in my mouth when those FT's were missed....It's a curse I tell ya, a curse...And I freakin' jumped through the roof when Marble didn't kiss the shot off the glass to possibly win it......Oh well, I'm done ranting, gotta get ready for PSU on Thursday

Exactly, forcing them to make a 3 at that point would have given Iowa the game, I think. Down the stretch Iowa was 6-13 from the FT line. Not going to get it done.
