Iowa giving Dakich extra security for Wisky game

Bad move by ESPN. But it could be an embarrassing night in CHA. No doubt ESPN will talk about the Woody pokes last time these teams met and subsequent controversy w Dakich. Combine that with us getting our butts kicked and the chance of some fan(s) acting like tools...it could be a bad night for HawkeyeNation.

I hope someone punches him in the face. And then shoves an ice cream cone down the back of his pants.

This is the time for Dikich to show if he's a true professional. If he is he won't bring anything up about Woody. I do hope the fans are prepared to welcome him back Hawkeye style.

Like I said in another thread.....Dan lives for this $hit......very unprofessional in my opinion....he just wreaks of "I'm better than you are".....he fits right in w/ESPN.....our fans will boo him as soon as he enters Carver....jerk

He will make a mea culpa at the beginning of the broadcast, then snicker to himself as Iowa gets their ***** handed to them in a major beatdown.:(

I wouldn't wish an injury on anyone, but I must say I would get a good chuckle if someone conveniently "dropped" a large soda on the back of his head while he was broadcasting live.

Iowa fan need to stay classy. Then when he starts spouting his nonsense he looks even more like a jerk and hopefully gets pulled from future games.

Sorry man. I'm usually pretty classy, but sometimes I fully believe a person has it coming to them. Dickitch deserves to get chewed up and spit out. The lack of class he has shown has earned it. He's not the kind of guy who will "feel bad" about his actions if he comes in and Iowa fans treat him nicely. He's such a moron he'll skip out of the stadium thinking he just pulled one over on us. I'm afraid the only way to ensure ESPN doesn't send him back to Iowa City is to give him the rude welcoming he deserves. Frankly, I don't care how it makes the fan base look. We're sticking up for one of the Hawkeye players, the team, and the coach. That's what fans do. Time to put some Gold Bond on Mr. Dickitch and make him go away.

Isn't it awesome how the A$$-AD (as directed by the head one without nuts) and Fran (I'm sure because the one without nuts told him to, not because he's a wimp) are doing things the "Iowa Way" ... politically correct boot licking. After all, gotta "have a good relationship with the folks at ESPN" so as not to disrupt the cash flow.

It was inevitable that Dakich would call another Iowa game, because he won't be getting any coaching offers anytime soon (ever), and he is one of the only color commentators on rotation on ESPN for the Big Ten.

That being said, ESPN should have put him on a road game first. I assume he will makes some kind of statement early in the broadcast, but no one in the stadium will hear it. So, even if he comes out and apologizes, the crowd will have no idea. If he addressed it during a road telecast, the issue could be put to bed before he ever stepped back into Carver.

I really don't know why Iowa fans are getting so fired up about Dakich. Should he have said those things about Woody, no, but let's face it, Iowa fans haven't always been so respectful in discussing Woody for the last 3 years. I get the feeling this is becoming the "McCabe suck it" tweet from last year.

Iowa fans better have thick skin on Saturday, because with the combination of no White, a banged up Olesani and you know the refs will call a foul on Woody anytime he touches a Badger, this game will probably be just as ugly as the one in Madison, and Dakich is going to be over the top in his praise of Wisconsin and continue to take shots at Woody, Fran and all of the fans booing him. I'd bet that the ESPN producers are secretly hoping for some sort of minor incident so they can have something to show non-stop on Saturday to get some ratings.

I have a novel idea. Wouldn't it be nice if everybody inside of CHA doesn't pay attention to Dakich. What he said after the first game against Wisky was over the top in my opinion. However, who gives a crap about him now?

Dakich should not be the story anymore. There is a game to be played and that's what Saturday's about.

Save your energy for the game as the Hawks will need every bit of fan support they can get.

I'm glad Dakich will be there. It should fire up the crowd and the team. We need every advantage we can get against a terrific Wisky team.

P.S. He's gonna need the extra security. He is the most wanted man in Iowa City
