Kinda crazy that JT Barrett was a 4 year starter at fOSU and went undrafted.

Nic shimonek also went undrafted....to no ones surprise but josh brown

That is crazy Butters. How is JT Barrett not one of the best 200 football players in America? I'm not sure I get that one and then you have the Wadley thing. These guys are idiots. The problem is...unless you make a mistake in the first round or second round...no one hears about it and you have a few years to make up for it. If Wadley does well in the league...I think Hawkeye Nation should Crowd Source a fund to put up Billboards next to the stadiums for GM's that passed on him. Something like, "Akrum Wadley just scored again. What has your 4th, 5th, or 6th round draft choice done for you. Stupid GM dickhead!".

Sorry, one more thing...Tanner Lee got drafted. The biggest game Tanner Lee has won is in Xbox. Yeah...I'm going to take him over JT Barrett...who won big game after big game and has more toughness in his freaking pinkie.

Just a straight up guess on my part...but with the way the NFL churns thru running backs these days it's not really surprising to me that wadley went undrafted. There are top tier running backs and then theres a pool of college running backs who will spend 2-4 years in the league and flame out or blow their knees out.

I'm telling you...this Wadley thing is really in my craw right now. You draft a guy out of Bumfreak University because he can lift 225 a few more times and you like the way he combs his hair. Look at the freaking tape you dickheads.

Wadley did everything the right way...preserved through early dog house days, improved his ball security, made every freaking play in front of him and then some...against some of the best competition in the country and you give the small school guy the benefit of the doubt and draft him. I just don't get it.

I agree but take a look at the Titans roster. They did not draft a running back and aside from their starter look like there aren't any world beaters. Wadley will have a good chance to show what he can do.

AND I am thrilled that Niemann will get a chance to be a CHIEF!!!

Not necessarily a Chiefs fan but I'll be rooting for Ben Niemann to get a shot. I thought he was overshadowed and underrated during his time at Iowa. I liked him since his freshman special teams play against Northwestern when he blocked the punt and returned it for a TD.

This past year is the least amount of professional football that I've watched. It has nothing to do with the anthem stuff or anything, it's just that the game isn't as engaging as it used to be for some reason. I'll admit, it was fun seeing CJ get a shot, albeit too early for him, but for the most part...the pro game just doesn't interest me. When they start allowing the jackass touchdown celebrations...well...you know they are searching for why guys like me are leaving...Great marketing idea though NFL, but don't you have concussion research and several domestic abuse incidents to cover up? There it is...the NFL is a manipulative dirty girl...who does bad things.

College Football will always be special.

Hell, NFL players celebrate first downs like they just won a date with J Lo. My issue is excessive commercials. If you flip to an NFL game at random your odds of catching it in commercial are probably around 35%. Well someone's watching, albeit not necessarily on TV anymore with modern technology.

I agree and he is such a smart guy. Exactly the kind of person that represents the Hawkeyes well. The coaches knew what they had.

Barrett also gave Debby, minus Lee, an absolute mauling in 2016.

If I'm not mistaken, it was the same night Penn State whipped Iowa in Happy Valley. Bo Bower may still be chasing Saqueon Barkley.

You are looking at it through black and gold glasses. The NFL simply doesn’t value the running back position the way they once did . Unless you are a freak, you are a disposable commodity.

True but it still doesn't explain why certain running backs from Podunk schools were drafted and he wasn't.

Does it really?
I guess we'll see. We'll see if 200 lb backs from Louisiana Tech and 185 lb backs from Virginia State meet your criteria of running back freak. I guarantee they didn't go up against the likes of Penn State, Wisconsin, and Ohio State week after week either.

Wadley was considered the best available at his position for at least one and one half rounds on two networks.
