Iowa Football -

If 7-5 is a "bad" year, then I call that a very healthy program. I too am disappointed with some of the close losses the past couple of years, but in reality college football is as competitive as it has ever been with any team capable of beating any other on any given day.

Iowa has some amazing young talent waiting to show their greatness...(McCall being one) and when the time comes they will have that opportunity. Hawkeye fans are as passionate as any in the country and sometimes that passion is vented in the form of negativity. At the end of the day, Iowa fans care about the Hawkeyes. For that I am proud to be a Hawkeye. No fair weather fans here. Hawkeyenation will overcome!!

With that, I believe the following tweaks to the coaching staff could potentially help:

DC - Need some new blood...keep the great Norm Parker on as an advisor.
ST - Who coaches this group? This group has been abysmal lately. We have the athletes.
OC - Okeefe can coach...what's the deal? Do we need a QB coach?
HC - Let's play to win instead of playing not to lose...show some confidence in our athletes...Please!!!! A little inspiration/passion from the sideline wouldn't be a bad thing either.

See you all in Dallas...Go Hawks!!! Destroy the Longhorns!!!

McCall and Coker will be one hell of a backfield next year. I look forward to the preview of next year in the bowl game.

What really hurts is if we would have won the two we should have, ISU and Minny, we would have been 9-3. Our biggest problem was lack of consistency on offense and a QB that did not seem to progress with the season. We did not return a lot of experience and it showed. It is getting extremely diffcult to be on top every year. Look at Texas, who gets the pick of the cream of the crop in Texas every year. I am not happy where we are at, but if this is the bottom it isn't like the world ended.
