I’ve made my point at the beginning of this thread . Some people struggle with comprehension. You can continue to embrace mediocrity though that’s cool. Isn’t the OP voicing his concerns about this team? What is the point of you being here again?

My point of being here is to make sure the rest of the football world doesn't look at the iowa fan base like they look at the nebraska fan base: a bunch of rubes with other-worldly expectations that aren't really, you know, based on reality every year. let me guess: you think nebraska has unreal expectations but then have the same expectations for Iowa.

Damn, Im watching Mizzou/Vandy. 3rd and 10 with 54 seconds left in the half and Mizzou called a TO. Got a penalty. Looked to pass So they were down, I admit, but they were looking to score.

I would rather see a little more liberalism and less conservatism.

Yep. Finishing third in the division isn't exactly what we all want. It's reasonable to expect better sometimes. That doesn't make us delusional and I'm not gonna apologize for expecting better. So people can spare me the Nebraska fan comparisons.

In the spirit of this thread.. Iowa won today which is what counts, but barely holding off a bad Purdue team at home doesn't exactly inspire much confidence that this team can win out or that it stands a snowball's chance in hell against someone like Ohio State in Indianapolis.

The third down playcalling was pathetic today. Maybe the last drive where we actually ran straight forward will open their eyes that running sideline to sideline is a terrible move. Sargent and Young are much better running between the tackles rather than the stretch play. These quicker D-line teams always give them problems because they can shoot the gaps and take away the running lanes. With the size difference we had on them it should have been hat on hat and getting up field. But at least they know who they are.

BF playcalling, schemes, and game plans, and ability to adjust to what defenses are doing is simply bad.

I’m a big KF homer and today really pissed me off. I get being flat but in my view this team was flat due to coaching keeping us flat, BF was horrible today seriously it was complete joke.
