I get it it’s a moving target that gets decided based on the narrative.
What about 5 TDs at Iowa State as a sophomore?
What about 14/23 for 256 Yards and 2TDs against Wisconsin last year when two special teams turnovers and our defense not being able to get off the field cost us the game?
I’ll agree this is a big game for Nate, he just needs to keep doing what he’s done so far this year. Spread the ball around make good decisions and pick up first downs.
Oh you'll get no argument from me about his ISU performances. Each of the last 3 games have included big plays from Nate. That 3rd and 22 pass a couple weeks ago, under those circumstances, without question the best throw I've seen an Iowa QB make. There are NFL QBs that can't make that throw.
Nate's performance this season gives me the most confidence Iowa can beat teams like Michigan, PSU, and Wisconsin because against ISU, the chips were down, everything was going ISU's way, the D wasn't on point, and Nate played a shaky 1st half but he still did what he had to do to lead his team to a win. Hopefully that continues because I'm not sure the DL will be able control games like we're used to.
