Iowa/Florida in Outback Bowl

I'll be interested to see how this sells. Iowa has been there a lot lately. I can't imagine it will be easy to get Florida's players to care or their fans to buy tickets. Both offenses are truly offensive. This screams 10-3 classic. We'll see how the fanbase responds.

Time for some payback.

I was there in 04 & 09, will watch on tv this time around. It's a nice bowl and Tampa is great, but I wanted the Holiday Bowl personally since we haven't been there since 91.

Again?

everything about the BigTen's Tier system suggested Iowa should have went to the Holiday, where Iowa has not been there since 1991 and Nebraska should have went to the Outback where they have never played.

how many times can Iowa play Florida in the Outback bowl?

With the new 6-year agreement with the Outback, the goal is to have 5 different teams.
After the 2013 season visit, didn't count.

Damn I sense so much negativity about this announcement. Yes, it's the Outback Bowl again, but it's also against Florida. The bowl only means as much as the opponent you play. The Rose Bowl was awesome last year but getting stomped ruined it. This is a game we can actually win. I would rather see us beat Florida in a game we've played in 12747003756 times than get crushed by Stanford or another PAC team in San Diego.

Can't imagine we score much in this game. Tough matchup with a great defense. First to 10 wins it.

From what I've seen Floridas defensive strength is against the passing game. Not great against the run. So that should benefit us............Hint Hint Greg Davis

Normally I would think Florida could be "sleep walking" into this match-up a bit but with the way they got destroyed in their Bowl Game last year vs. Michigan I would think they would show up ready to play this year. Now their offense might be so bad it won't make a difference.
