also any idiot knows playing in January bowl games mean nothing. The Taxslayer Bowl was a January bowl when Iowa played in it. Did not mean it was a good bowl.

the Holiday bowl is a good bowl, on the same level as the Outback.

Just watched the tape of the bad calls in that Iowa -Florida match up in 2006. Speilman was priceless...I forgot how animated he got about the officiating. That was hilarious. There is no announcer willing to do that in CFB today. If you haven't seen that...you have to go back and listen. He's out of his head with anger after the offside call on the onside kick. Just priceless.

Yep, Tabor & Wilson at Corner are beasts. Think you can run right at Florida for a good amount of success. Their DT #57 Brantley is pretty good though.

Better date, better opponent, better location = Stanzi going to Florida! The Holiday Bowl may be similar in terms of prestige, but 12/27 is a really tough date for making the trip.

Florida is a top 20 all time program. Any opportunity to play on fertile recruiting ground against a storied program is massive.

Damn I sense so much negativity about this announcement. Yes, it's the Outback Bowl again, but it's also against Florida. The bowl only means as much as the opponent you play. The Rose Bowl was awesome last year but getting stomped ruined it. This is a game we can actually win. I would rather see us beat Florida in a game we've played in 12747003756 times than get crushed by Stanford or another PAC team in San Diego.

I think this is a very interesting matchup. This game has the possibility of turning into a good defensive struggle game. If you like defensive games, it probably want get any better than this game! After watching how TN beat them, CJ really needs to be on his game throwing the ball, because its not a easy task trying to beat the Gators by runnning the ball on this D. IMO this is a 50/50 game. Go Hawks!
