Fair point, but I don't think it's that biased to think Iowa should be ranked where MSU is in the coaches poll due to said head-to-head victory.

At least the AP got it right.

You’re not a Hawk fan so please go blow Campbell on CF thanks. They have no proven WR’s or RB’s, a mediocre offensive line, and Purdy will have to prove he can be a real QB and not just a chucker downfield with Butler to make his stats look good.

You need to get out of your head that you have to worship kf to be an Iowa fan. That’s crap. Iowa football started long before him and will be around long after him as well

Worse yet, we remained unranked in Coaches Poll...while Mississippi State ranked at 25.

Body of work is what is looked at. Not just one game. I feel miss st beats us 6-7 out of 10 times based on the personnel that played in the game. Penalties and turnovers certainly played in our favor and the defense came to play. You don’t win many bowls with a pathetic offensive showing like that. Outside of that, we beat the clowns at home early. Not a lot to hang our hat on this yr other than the traditional smoke n mirrors

-3 wins vs P5 teams that combined to go 12-24 (33% winning %)
-2 wins vs P5 teams with winning records

Iowa won 9 games,
-2 wins vs non P5 teams
-4 wins vs P5 teams that combined to go 18-30 (38% winning %)
-3 wins vs P5 teams with winning records

MSU got more of it's wins vs bad competition than Iowa did, they beat less teams with winning records than Iowa did, and they lost to Iowa head to head. Iowa's body of work was much better, and frankly it wasn't even close.
