Iowa falls to #15 in the AP poll

Being #15 is probably more of a reflection of what the teams below us did than the fact we lost on the road to the only team since 2007 to beat 3 consecutive Top 10 teams. Looking at the rankings, I'm probably more ****** if I'm ISU. Just beat the #22 team in the country and didn't move an inch and your main rival, who you beat head to head and has more losses is still ranked higher. Sucks to be little bro! :D

I'll care about polls only if ISU is left out of the top 25 and I perceive it as a slight. Other than that I don't care since they all get you highlights.

The committee doesn't care so I won't.

Losing at one of the hottest teams in basketball's home court does not equal a 5 slot drop.

Especially when it was a single digit loss, and you follow that with a 26 point road win.. Even if it is against Northwestern. 5 spot drop = BS.

And don't tell me I'm not supposed to care. This is the type of stuff fans care about! How many articles and posts where there last week about it being Iowa's highest ranking since such and such a date?

Oh well, at least we're still 12th in the coaches poll. Which is about where I felt we should've been in the AP. I was thinking 12-13.

The only ranking that matters is our seeding in the NCAA tournament. Jerry Palm as of January 27 (today) has Iowa as a #4 seed!!!! Let's hope we can keep it.

Unfortunately with these ratings its about 50% what you do, which you can control. Then 50% what everyone else does, which you can't control.

I have always had more respect for the Coaches Poll, 1977.....

I admit I am disappointed the Hawks dropped this far, I was hoping for a top 10 matchup tomorrow night in Carver something that has not happened since the home game after Chris Street died. But according to the AP we are still the fans of the 15th ranked team in the country. Just 4 years ago on Senior Day the students rushed a court after beating 6th ranked Purdue for the 10th win of the season. It blows my mind how far this team has come in.

My cousin sprained his ankle rushing the court after beating Dayton in the NIT game.
