Iowa band had issues at the game on Sat...

There are plenty of things to criticize Pollard for but his leadership has been essential to the growth of the fanbase and the improvement among a lot of the programs. It's really showing up in the project he's leading to make huge changes to the Iowa State Center, and it's probably the biggest building project since the entire area was constructed in the 70s. Tremendous job by him and something to be seriously proud of for him.

Like I said, all ISU fans are HUGE POLLARD FANBOYS. Even level headed ones like @BryceC couldn't wait to come brag up what Pollturd has done.

Funny that local ESPN show stating there is some indication ISU knows a bit more about this than leading on and weren't just caught off guard by Barta's release.

I'm sure you applauded this as well.

Do you think this guy understands that in collegiate sportsball, programs like ISU and even Iowa are just there as cannon fodder for the big boys of the conference? Geographic conferences made perfect sense when guys had to travel by train to games. Now they exist for a symbiotic relationship to prop up the big boys. If college football got cut to 20 blue blood teams it would probably still churn out an ungodly amount of money, but it would be shared among far fewer schools. So you'd have OSU, Michigan, PSU, Bama, Georgia, UT, Florida, Notre Dame, A&M, USC, etc. They could just play each other every week. The big brands. Man, they'd make so much money.

But the big boys don't want that. They want that slew of cannon fodder on their schedule so they can put up their 10 win season or whatever. They don't want to cannibalize each other. So you can piss and moan about calls or whatever all freaking day long, but at the end of the day, every school from probably Michigan State/Iowa on down better thank their damned lucky stars that the big boys are willing to play ball and give us a cut off the media deals. If you don't want to get hosed, beat a team by 31 like Iowa did to OSU a few years ago and leave no doubt.

What planet do you live on? The band members were on their phones before, during, and after the game. They never put them down....if any of this actually happened, there would be video

Not sure how you came up with this. If the band members are to proceed to and march off the field after the game, there's no way they'd get their phones out. First off, their phones are not in uniform pockets as there are no pockets in the band uniforms. There are slits in the uniforms as they are adjustable. They could possibly reach through the slit and get to their phone in their pocket in the shorts/pants that they are wearing underneath their uniform... but then they'd have to take off their gloves in order to make the phones do anything. Since they are in marching formation, they will not reach into their inner clothes pockets and they will not take off their gloves.

Pretty hard to record video in that situation if you are a band member. But if you don't know anything about marching band, I guess you'd think that they could easily get to their phones. And if you don't know anything about capacitive touch screens, I guess you'd think they could make the phone work with their gloves on. (Yeah, I know you can buy gloves that will work with a capacitive touch screen but they are not allowed as band uniform gloves.)

During Bri’s years as a student-athlete I saw some of our own Hawkeye fans not being the finest ambassadors of our wonderful national powerhouse program during the Iowa State University game.

Hey Pollard,

After all the whining...(and I know this clip was 5 or 6 years ago)...shouldn't you maybe say something to the effect of, we need to be better so that one bad call by an official doesn't beat us. That's how you prevent it, you moron. Take control, instead of giving up control, and be accountable. Every freaking game there are several plays that help you get beat...but like a moron...you focus on the final one. Do something about the 10 others. This is why you have lost five straight to Iowa...well, and because your runner tackled your punt return guy this year while he was trying to catch a punt. LOL. That ending to the biggest day in Cyclone History (Game Day Recognition)...could not have been scripted any better.

God...and there is Rhoades egging him on in the background...shameless whiners both of them. Honestly, Campbell seems like a coach with his head on straight...he's got to the think Pollards a douche too.

This series should have been ended years ago and for many reasons. This being just one in a long line of them. It certainly would de-legitimatize their program as a byproduct

Oh man...my feelings are hurt.....maybe i should call the cops and file a police report........oh wait....i actually have some common sense and know its all fun on here....unlike the iowa band
My niece is like 4'11 and plays in the Iowa Band, but had to miss this game due to a science lab, thank God. Any douche-bag that thinks to mess with members of the band is within bounds needs to stop watching or attending college games. These kids pay their own way often and bust their ass just for the privilege of playing for their school. Way nobler than the athletes and often with great sacrifice. Fun? Fun to traumatize young woman and men over a football game. Your an A$%Wh*^&!

Like shooting fish in a barrel here....hawk fans being classy part 2..
That guy is an Iowa fan like I'm Gaundi, he's one of those can collectors that spend gameday collecting cans to pay for his Nightrain or meth for the week. Can't believe he gave up his cans. He probably just wanted Iowa fans to put their cans there to save him the time collecting them. Seed cans.

Since there will be no football games on Saturday, we should pack CHA for the volleyball game against the clowns at 7pm. Clown players and fans should get a full showing of what a real fan base is.

A person is always going to see an element of this bad behavior when big games or big rivalries games are played. If hawk fans act like that at a game and it is really bad behavior they should be kicked out of the game or worse.

No one is saying Iowa fans are perfect to the visitors or even each other sometimes. I have seen over 250 games in Kinnick and I have seen bad/probably drunk fans cause problems in their section and get reported and get kicked out.

A friend of mine after a game at Wisky had a bunch of pricks kicking in the side of his car and when it got heated one of his friends in shotgun seat was being pulled out of the car. Some wisky fans have been rude to Iowa fans.

No fan base is immune to this behavior but lets take action by each issue just like we try to do with any bad behavior.

Okay, he did that. We can also talk about things that matter too.

Real cool comment, Bryce. At one time, wrestling was the premier sport at ISU. 13,000 fans, National titles, etc. Now, not even top 20. By the way, how is the Baseball program doing? Mens Gymnastics? Mens Tennis? Big time athletic program at ISU, huh? How about the women's basketball coach who refers to his players as dumb c**nts? He wins a few games so he is ok too.
