The rest of the conference is good. But I don't think anyone is great...top 5 in the country. I say 13-7 but won't be surprised with anything from 11 to 15 wins. I will be absolutely shocked if we are 10-10 or worse...assuming no major injuries.

Michigan is most definitely a final 4 team! By the end of the year Mich. St. will be right there also. Truth.

It’s interesting albeit not surprising how much sentiment changes around here in a short time. Before we played at MSG everyone was expecting us to get run out of the gym.

Two weeks later and the majority of posters are thinking Iowa will have a winning conference record after a 4-14 mark last year.

Iowa hasn’t played a true road game to date (they were down double digits in every one of those last year, and only won one road game).

I’ve been happy with the addition of Weiskamp, Connor’s play, and the shorter rotation, but I still think getting to 10-10 in this league is going to be very tough. Kenpom currently has us 10th in the league with NW and Minnesota not too far behind us.

FWIW I chose 10-10 and I would be happy with that mark. In my mind I’m seeing 8-12 or 9-11.

I chose 9-11 because it's my birthday.

2 things. First I dont see anyone thinking we are truly a top 14 team. Second it wont ne the positive crowd turning negative once we start losing. The guys that are negative now will be the guys who are negative once we start losing.

VT lost to Penn State, UNC lost to Michigan, Michigan State lost to Louisville, and Kansas State will be an underdog at marquette this weekend. If Iowa beats Wisconsin tomorrow its very likely they're ranked in the top 10.

They were for one game, that's for sure.

#7 Mich. schedule so far:

Norfolk St. WON 63-44 - 19 pts
Holy Cross WON 56-37 - 19 pts
#8 Vilanova WON 73-46 - 30 pts
Geo. Wash. WON 84-61 - 23 pts
Providence WON 66-47 - 19 pts
Chattanooga WON 83-55 - 18 pts
#11 N. Carolina WON 84-67 - 17 pts

When was the last time 'Nova got me beat by 30? Do you remember what happened the last time WE played Villanova?
#11 Tar Heels played them to within 17 points, their slimmest margin of victory this year.

That's... intimidating. Has to be the best start for them in a decade.
