That’s definitely a disadvantage for Iowa having a short week to prepare after Iowa State. Minny plays all mighty Tennessee Tech the week before.
It will also make it tougher for Iowa fans to make the trip.
While I’d love to rip on Minny for this I’m sure it comes from the B1G. Tons of TV money from a Friday night game with limited completion.
I think Friday nite Big 10 conf games are stupid. I was thinking of going to the game with my son and his two boys but hardly any way to get them from school at 3:30 and drive 4 hours to the stadium, park, walk, just stupid.
Let Ohio St or Iowa play a non conf game on a Friday, or Mich, or whoever. It is still much harder on fans.

Fridays belong to the high school football kids!!!
Travel wise not bad. Eastern Iowans get to experience the 4 hour drive our western Iowa friends get to experience when they have to drive to Iowa City.
Meaning what? Not all change is good. As DDT said, let the lesser conferences sell out for exposure.
Yeah but not everyone can get off work early enough to get there or waste some vacation time for it. As I say , stupid.
Hey Friday is Date Night drinking and HS football and a big theater nite. Cmon
C'mon man. Check them out of school early. for the kids that will only add to the appeal/excitement. It is an educational field trip. Do it.
One out of 52 Fridays. I can live.
Iowa is 3-3 against the Goophs in TCF Bank stadium.
It's as simple as that to me too..Not cool, man, not cool. Fridays should be left for the high school kids.
Kids get signed out early by parents all the time and nobody at the school blinks an eye.C'mon man. Check them out of school early. for the kids that will only add to the appeal/excitement. It is an educational field trip. Do it.
