Iowa 5-0 Start..Last time they did that was 2008...

last 6-0 start was 2003-2004 season.

I had them 5-1 leaving Cancun in my preseason picks. If they can win tomorrow, and add to that Penn State losing Frazier and me having Iowa losing the game at PSU, the Hawks could have two more to play with above my 20-11 preseason prediction.

The world isn't about you.

Barring a really, really stupid, bad loss. We're pretty much guaranteed to be 10-4 by the time the conference season rolls around.

The Hawks are better and deeper than last year but still have a ways to go before they are a top 20 team. All of the players have been very inconsistent but are winning because Fran has recruited enough talent to beat mediocre teams. The future looks great but they still have a lot of work to do if they are going to have a chance for the dance.

I really think 8-0 heading into that isu game is very possible.

I agree, after watching some of the Wichita St/Depaul game last night before the Hawks they didn't impress me at all. Iowa will have to play better then they did last night to win but they can win this game tonight.

If this was last years team they would be sitting at 2-3 right now with losses to Central Michigan, Gardner-Webb and Western Kentucky.

Yeah but you also have Iowa beating Michigan State.

Like the depth of this team a lot. Really like how hard they play, pretty good overall quickness as a team, play pretty smart as well. Not a lot of true studs but with their depth, style, and teamwork they should have good results.

Can we not be thankful that this program is moving forward and leaving the Lick-cluster days behind? If our fan base would actually attend the home games and pack the house that might help as well. The b-ball team and program is at least making an effort to represent.

This is a big opportunity tonight if we can pull it out.

one part of the Lick era will be removed with a win tonight, as Lick's best start was 5-0, and the next thing to remove will be Lick's record of 38 wins total

This. Frustrating to see fans fork out hundreds of $$$ to go watch a declining football program that refuses to adapt or make any changes, yet won't go support a program and coach on the rise that plays a much more exciting brand for their respective sport. Fans needs get their arses in the seats and support this team. And whoever is responsible for seating Carver, it's WAY PAST time to kick Ma and Pa Kettle out of the front 15 rows. I can't tell you how aggravating it is to see a 75 yr old couple nearly comatose despite a huge dunk or basket for the Hawks. It makes Carver a more friendly environment for our opponent, makes Carver sound like a morgue, and does nothing to help in our recruitment of quality players.

You are not going to be able to kick out the top donors. I have been Tar Heels games and they have old farts sitting up front but just on one side. As at Duke and Michigan, one side has students up front. Students behind the basket only is lame.

You guys should really go to a game instead of telling others to go and you would realize that during the Big Ten games the place was packed.

Iowa increased their attendance by over 2,000 last year. That is an average so you will get some games when they play sisters of the poor where there might only be 10,000 there, but for the most part all Big Ten games were either sold out or had over 14,000, so people are coming back.
