Iowa #20 in latest AP Poll.

All 3 loses coming from the top 9 all away from home and all close. We are so close to being a top 5 team its ridiculous.

Teams ranked in the top 20 are not NCAA teams!!! Guard play, freethrows, FireFran, blah blaah blah

Most of the voters watch the games, with how we played on the road, I am not surprised we moved up. I'm looking forward to next Sunday #20 vs #3 in Columbus on CBS.

Also...

#4 Wisconsin
#8 Villanova
#9 Iowa State

I'll take top 20 for now. I want to be top 5 at the end of March. We have some talented guys playing nowhere near where they are capable of playing...currently. There's a lot of time to get them up to speed.

Edit - Your comment is 100% right by the way.

Kenpom through yesterday's games...

Wisconsin - 4
Villanova - 7
Iowa - 11
Iowa State - 14
Xavier - 29
Notre Dame - 53
Nebraska - 94
Drake - 101
UTEP - 107

Wow was shocked Iowa stayed in both polls. This year folks seem to be giving the Hawks the benefit of the doubt, unlike last year weak schedule blah blah got ****** on.

Iowa HAS to get a big win very soon otherwise the perception might change in a hurry. This coming weekend at O$U would be an oh-so-sweet time to do it, against a hated, despised rival.

It's obvious the rest of the country has more respect for the hawks than most of the posters here. Sad really......

A few of the posters are venting and will be fine by tomorrow. Many are trolls (even some approaching 6,000 posts). Still others are negative people that could care less and just want to make everyone else as miserable as they are...in all aspects of their lives.

Hawks have lost 3 games this season. All are top ten teams with a combined record of 41-1. Two of the games were on the opponents home floor, by coincidence two of the toughest places to play in college basketball. The other loss was to number 8 Villanova on a neutral court......

I have decided not to give up on this team.....

And we've played well enough to build double digit leads on all 3.

We've shown how good we can be for stretches.

We just need to improve some little things... Free throw shooting being the big one.

I also think we need to shoot/make more 3s. Right now we can dominate the paint but other teams can keep pace because they can make up the difference with the 3 ball.
