Iowa #12 in coaches poll

Very strange Iowa at 12 and Wisky at 18. Not sure if that is a nod to Kirk, Parker and the defense/special teams with maybe an improved running game??? Or that the pollsters thought Wisky was lucky to win yesterday???? Or the pollsters dont know shit.

I do think Iowa can beat most teams in FBS as the Big 10 is a very tough conference. I would like to see the Iowa offense week in and week out against the Big 12 Ole matador defenses. There are some teams that have very mobile, active running and passing qbs who might beat us if they have a decent defense.
 
I'm excited to see Cinn. jump into the top 4. Put a small bet on them to win NC, if pays out got x-mas paid for. Hey, better odds than the lotto. Polls dont mean much to me right now for Iowa. Can never get into the playoff's even if they win out and beat OSU. My question I ask myself is do I want OSU get in? Honestly it's good for the Big, but I hate to see them dominate the league like they do. They just get too damm much talent. Big 1 little 11, should be league name.

Its based on W/L record as voted by people who have not watched Iowa play.
 
Wisconsin had a more quality win yesterday than we did.

That nebraska team is good, they just make stupid mistakes repeatedly that cost them games. Iowa arguably has less talent, but Iowa and nebraska are the difference between a well coached team and one whose coaches are bush leaguers who are in over their heads.
 
I am very pleased that we are ranked in both polls. I have heard time and again on this forum that “wins are all that matters.” OK. So we are 9-2.

Don't they know our offense sucks!?!?

We only win because we play well defensively and on special teams.
Our offense is sooooo bad we shouldn't be ranked.

Who cares about 9 wins. That is all due to defense and special teams so it isn't real.


Did I do that right?
 
Yes, the Cornshuckers are better than their record shows, however I'm tired of people saying they are more "talented" than the Hawks...I guarantee you this...in the end, Iowa will have more players in the NFL from the current iteration, as opposed to the "talented Fuskers." Absolute, guarantee!
