Why is our recruiting off this year? I don't follow wrestling as much as football or basketball, so I wouldn't have a clue.
Scholarships are limited in wrestling. We have limited money to give out right now. We'll have some more money next year.
@Cub... a NCAA mandate went out about Iowa winning too much and it was bad for the sport. The Hawkeyes were punished with a reduction of scholarships and were limited to recruiting only in state and in South Dakota. It was only for one year however, so that PSU, TOSU, and Wisc could catch up. Everything should be back to normal next year.
