I personally like to see some Iowa kids on the roster. It would be really nice to keep the Hinrich, Collison, Lafrentz, Barnes, Paige, etc from leaving the state and add some Chicagoland talent. It's getting better every year

That's easy to say when these guys were all drafted to the NBA.

If you're saying that Iowa's program needs to keep the best in-state talent at home, then I wholeheartedly agree.

I guess my opinion is get whatever talent your capable of bringing in regardless of where they're from. IF the top talent in a given year from Iowa is greater then the talent that you have a shot at getting in say Chicago, then go that route. Upper level talent is talent regardless of where they are from. I say go after the best available players, where they're from is irrelevant. The urban area's may have a larger number of elite players, but you still have to have the connections in place and the pipeline to bring them in to your program.
