Well, as you probably presume, Iowa is at the bottom of most of these offensive stat categories. Here are the offense stats thru the first two games.

131 - Total Offense - 158 yds/game
130 - Team Passing Efficiency - 69.01
126 - Completion % - .442
131 - 1st Down Offense - 21 total (Note Nebby is 2nd in nation with 82. Minny and Illinois all in top 10)
131 - Scoring Offense - 7 pts/game
127 - Passing Offense - 100 yrd/game
127 - Rushing Offense - 57.5 yds/game
124 - 3rd Down Conversion - .250 (Obviously not sustaining drives)

A Big Ten team.....sans 80s Northwestern (I'm guessing they were probably not last either).....should not be sitting dead last in these categories.....especially one coming off a Big Ten Title Game Appearance. However, the offense was not good last year....and it is even worse without guys like Charlie Jones, NR, and KJ, etc.

It is very rare to have a team that

Yea, a team with their QB coming back and linemen shouldn't be worse than the previous year. How the hell does that happen? I realize a few guys are out, but, C'mon.

I want to say I heard on a podcast (maybe the Corey Brada one) that 3 out of 4 Captains are on the defensive side this year....Petras was not voted a Captain. That is telling being the "leader" of the offense.

I dunno what's making me cry more. This offense or the Big10 Moment show about The Wave that just aired.

Serious onion cutting going on.

Guys! Petras gives us the best chance to win according to the captain. Let that sink in when you consider who our OC and QBC is. Whayt does that tell you about the insanity in Fort Kinnick?

On another board a member mentioned Bobby Bowdens downfall was his hiring of his son.

History tends to repeat itself.

I was looking at the rankings for rushing defense and noticed that isu is 21st (we’re 27th) and then it dawned on me. They played us, of course they’re going to look like they have a good defense.

Frank Beamer fell off a bit when Shane rolled in as well, but at least Frank had the decency to get his son some legitimate reps by calling favors rather than on the job training at Virginia Tech. I will not go into the sordid affair the Briles family got caught up in, but let's suffice it to say I don't want anything similar happening here.

I don't think Tommy Bowden pulled FSU down. If anything dude was a sleeper agent who derailed Clemson and allowed FSU to stay in the catbird's seat of the ACC a bit longer. Irregardless, point is a lot of these "legendary coaches" have pretty mediocre sons who get placed in positions they likely don't deserve and it is total bullshit.

I will never forgive Brian Ferentz for living in Section 8 housing while he was in college. That is tantamount to the theft of a resource that someone really needs and someone with that sort of moral compass is someone I don't want around the program.
