Iowa added its third player in the '18 recruiting class from Indianapolis on Friday when Warren Central High cornerback Julius Brents chose the Hawkeyes:

Amazed at all the guys we are getting out of Indy. It's just weird because it's never been like that before. Literally wiping all the talent out of that city and beating the in state school at this point. Great.

Tons of talent in Indy and super deep, usually these kids go south or back in the day to Purdue
 
I can't be for certain, but I think Kelvin Bell may have taken over that territory recently. Certainly paying off....
 
Indy is turning into the definition of a pipeline.. Has to burn NDs coaches if not the other state schools too. Be nice to get them a nice homecoming game back in the dome at the end of every season...
 
Dont forget about Hawks in the NFL influence....stars for a time on a kid's hometown NFL team.....in the case Indy.....Dallas Clark, Pat Angerer, Bob Sanders....never know the influence that could have...
 
We might be able to go in to full "lock down" with these CBs in a couple years. Add in guys like AJ rushing the edge and it could be an opposing QBs worst nightmare.
 
So KF gives up $50000 of pay and we get a commitment from a top DB in the same week. Connecting the dots, I can only assume Mr. Brents showed up for school on Friday in a nice new ride.
