I rarely see Kaminsky's name now, at least compared to pre-season/early-season. I take it Jackson being out won't mean as much as it would for us being without White or Uthoff?
Kaminsky is the Badgers most-important player, the X factor that other teams can't really guard. He's averaging 17 points a game, on 53% shooting from the field, over 40% from 3. He also has a couple of assists per game and nearly 2 blocks per game. Oh and he shoots 76% from the line. Not really a weakness. He would average more points per game on a team without as many options as Wisconsin has.
If Iowa is to win, I think Gesell needs to really win the matchup with Koenig. Koenig played very efficiently against Rutgers and and Nebraska. Where Jackson has been good for Wisconsin is being the guy who creates shots late in the shot clock.
Vegas has Iowa as a 10-point underdog, which surprised me. I thought the line would be lower than that. Vegas probably doesn't like how Iowa has been playing defense against B1G competition. Badgers have the most-efficient offense in the league.
Wisconsin has no bench, if we can get a couple guys in foul trouble early, I really like our chances.

Albeit ugly as heck....He also averages 8 rebounds a game, higher than any Iowa player. The guy is a freak horse.
We get rolled, similar to the football team going to Minnesota this year. Wisky has had (A) a bye since it didn't play this weekend, and (B) home court. Lots of time to prep for us and to work out their issues at point guard.
Hopefully, it is a more even playing field at CHA.
These two teams are incredibly familiar with each other. If Wiscy rolls the Hawks it won't have anything to do with them having more "prep time". It will be because Iowa can't knock down shots. That's the biggest key for Iowa keeping it close. When Iowa is hitting at least some shots they tend to compete with just about anyone. When they go cold they get blown out. Just look at two of Iowa's losses for proof. In both the Texas and Iowa State games Iowa played pretty well offensively in the first half. Then they went ice cold in the 2nd half and got blown out both times. It's all about confidence and momentum for the Hawks. When they stay out of cold streaks they are a pretty damn good team.
