Indiana

Indiana's offense will be a huge challenge for our defense. This will be another game that controlling the clock and having success in the ground game will be big.

If we hold them under 24 points, it will bode well.

A fast start will help, but Indiana is a team very comfortable playing from behind, unlike Wisc, Ill, and NW. Need to keep the pedal down.

Limit Sudfeld, key.

Very interested to see how healthy we will be.

Fully agree. Indiana's defense is suspect at best, but their offense is legit. If our defense is going to have a bad game this season, don't let it be this one because the Hoosiers have the firepower to win a shoot out.

I have no doubt that Indiana's offense is potent. However, I also have no doubt that Iowa has one of the best defenses in the country.

It sounds like this could be a fairly high scoring game. Indiana's D sounds bad - Iowa should be able to run the ball, control the clock, and put points on the board. What worries me is Iowa's passing D - if we can stop them from converting many big plays, I think we'll be fine.

The other X factor, in my mind, is that Iowa is starting to get some attention, which also means we're going to get everyone's best shot. Iowa could possibly be in the Top 10 by the time this game is played, so I hope the team is ready to play with a target on their backs. I predict a lot of "upset alerts" cropping up over this game.

I have felt this way, as well, not just about Indiana, but Illinois (and NW, and . . .). However, I think Deace's comments on Jon's podcast were correct - enjoy and embrace this season, and not overly concern ourselves with what might happen from this point forward. Easier said than done. There is a chance for a stumble. Going undefeated is really hard (and lucky). But it should not diminish this year if a loss happens. With that, I'm not counting on it happening, and the way the team has played and stuck together, more importantly, they aren't either.

I totally agree. Our bubble could burst at any time because we're not overwhelmingly talented enough to think it couldn't. Just enjoy it and hope for the best each week and don't sweat it, I say.

Play a solid game and its an easy win. The bubble could burst at any time but I doubt it will be against the Hoosiers. I'm more concerned about a 5-6 Nebraska team that has one last chance for bowl eligibility by the time they face us...

Iowa has had a tough time winning AT Indiana. It's probably been close to a decade. 2007? 2008? I'm not sure.

This game has me worried more than any of the rest because of how good Indiana CAN be offensively when they are healthy. Iowa's defense always gives up a lot of yards to them...and sometimes a lot of points. We don't want to be in a shootout with Indiana.

I think the the Hawks will shut down their rushing attack, and Desmond King takes away half the field for their passing attack. Advantage Iowa.

Agree on most points, except, they are not going to throw towards King. Mabin will get picked on just like the Illinois game. He will need someone to come over and help him out.

indiana is basically a big 12 team. keep the ball away from them with long drives and they can't score

Indiana at home, coming off a road loss (which is almost a certainty @ MSU) = big trouble for Hawks

You guys are overthinking this wayyyy too much. The ONLY way Iowa falters down the stretch is injuries to star players. This team Has gone from trying to find itself to suddenly being a team of destiny. Having been apart of teams like that, there is no way in hell they will let their guard down during this stretch run. The only way Iowa lost to NW in 2009 was bc stanzi got hurt. Also, the combined total def ave of the remaining teams is like 440 yd per game or something... with the exception of minny who won't score on us. As long as we ram it down people's throats with the run game we won't lose.

I was going to give him the benefit of the doubt because Iowa beat Northwestern easily and they were at home, coming off a road loss to Michigan 38-0, and it was homecoming. Maybe he was being facetious. :)
