I guess I'll be listening to Dolph and Bobby. On second thought, maybe I'll play the Dickie V drinking game.

ESPN announce crew for Thursday's game at Indiana: Rece Davis, Dick Vitale, Kaylee Hartung.
 
Dick Vitale is just painful to watch anymore. His schtick wore thin long ago.

He gets so off track during games and starts name dropping people from 40 years ago and telling hero stories that we've all heard before.

Oh well, there are worse problems to have I suppose. It wasn't that long ago that Iowa games couldn't be found on TV at all.
 
We should start a thread of what time Dickie V will utter DUKE the first time. In addition how many times he will bring up Duke during the broadcast. My guess by 8:10 he has mentioned Duke. I,m guessing he will utttr Duke 10 more times.
 
I don't care for him but I certainly dont hate him as much as others. To me I can handle him once per year I suppose. If he does his homework and praises Jok/Uthoff/Fran like they deserve then he can be occasionally enjoyable. If he just shows up and praises Duke and Bobby Knight then no thanks.

The only thing that really annoys me about Vitale is when he starts talking about Duke or the ACC. I'll actually be interested in hearing what he has to say about our Hawks.

Way better than Dakich.
 
I just knew they'd put Dockitch on the game. Never did I anticipate Dickie V!!!!!!! Oh Boy..........I guess a few drinks before the game will make it all better.

Since he voted Iowa 7th I'm assuming he doesn't even know who Uthoff is. You could make an arguement for 1st-5th but how can you find 6 teams deserving of a higher ranking than Iowa right now?
 
I do love kaylee hartung. She's very talented if you catch my drift.

Plus rece Davis is a big deal now.

Which is mentioned first: Duke or "Robert Montgomery Knight"?
 
I've never understood why so many people care who the announcers are for a game. Sure, some are better than others and some are more annoying than others, but it's never had any impact on the amount of enjoyment I get out of watching a sporting event.
