IN RB Xavier Williams Commits to Iowa

More important than any runningback, they need to start bringing in quarterbacks that can move. KF/KOK had a type and that type isn't going to work moving forward.

Just an observation of where the game is headed.

Let me ask you this. When was the last time you saw split backs in the backfield in the NFL?

When was the last time you saw a lead blocking fullback in the NFL?

Now, how many times since Colin Kapernick has a QB rushed for over 1,000 yards?

You could have four do it this year-Fields, Jackson, Hurts, and Kyler Murray. And there are more coming into the league this year who are capable as well.

Meanwhile you have to go to 25th in the league to find the leading rusher for the Super Bowl winning Kansas City Chiefs. The leading rushers for the other NFL final four teams were fifth (Philadelphia who promptly allowed Miles Sanders to leave via free agency) eighth (San Francisco who was on their fourth QB) and not even in the top 25 (Cincinnati)

I don't make up the facts, I just report them.

He doesn’t even watch NFL football.

Other than Juszcyk(49ers) I couldn't name another fullback. There is a reason why so many of us wanted Iowa to try and copy what Kyle Shannonhan was doing with the 49ers.

Split backs in the NFL, split backs in Power 5: nope.
Duel threat QB’s common in college. Actually preferred. See HN posts.
NFL coaches want mobile QB’s, not runners. Injuries trump running QB’s too often.
4 this year. Ok. How many teams are there in the NFL?
your long paragraph: short term stats.

Actually, I don’t watch a lot of NFL. I get pretty tired of field goals. Maybe you should argue that field goal kickers and holders will become the highest pd players?

I do watch the Packers. Their coach runs the same O as Iowa. Play action, zone blocking inside and outside, significant run game focus to protect the QB, 2-3 running backs sharing the load, offensive guards, center, and right tackle must run block effectively. Left tackle protects. They are even crazy enough to expect their tight ends and wide receivers to block! Watch Alan Lazard much?

NB: Don’t bother with the lazy distraction that the Pack was bad this year. Unlike your tendency to claim “facts”, when you need to remember the old saying in Iowa, “a couple of snowflakes don’t make a blizzard.”

Question: What is Iowa’s win-loss record in games where they have rushed for 100+ yards?

Question: Under the Packs new and very successful head coach, who immediately stressed run game improvement, what was their W-L record when they rushed for 100+ yards?

The answers would be facts that North likes.
