Read the sig! It's 3 bad for 3 good.
In all seriousness, Iowa is a second tier program in a major conference. Every now and then they will have their shot when the chips fall right. Now, I think the fan base can expect the drop offs not to be so extended or severe. That could happen if KF would pay more attention to JUCO recruiting. But if you really want more, you need to switch to a different team or you will be tired for the rest of your life.
This about sums it up. I get that Iowa is not Alabama and is never going to be.. But that doesn't mean that Iowa can't have it's magical seasons (1985, 2002, 2009, etc.), and it doesn't mean that we should be happy with a bunch of 6-6 type seasons, either, but CAAR is pretty much spot on here IMO.
I too am tired of several of the things that the OP mentioned, but after a game @OSU where the game was tied 24-24 going into the 4th isn't the time I would choose to make a post like that. No, I'm not a fan of moral victories, but I think there were definite positives to take from that game. Still, it needs to carry over into the rest of the season. A gutsy effort @OSU doesn't mean much if Iowa comes home and gets rolled by NW and Wisconsin. Gotta keep building and taking steps forward.
