I have a crazy Idea to sellout tickets. Don't go 7-5 lose to Minnesota then lose to Iowa St the following year.

Someone said something about tickets being given away at the game?!? Never seen or heard of that before. Any truth to that?

I also heard something like this. I think it was a the field hockey game the day before. Not exactly sure of the context.

For those asking for a link to prove that Nebraska gives away unsold tickets before the game - I will be happy to provide the link, I am just not sure how.

I need someone to explain to me how to do one of the following:

1. Link radio announcements from the Lincoln radio stations from during the last Callahan year where they were advertising free tickets to people who come down to the ticket office on the Friday before the game for two of the non-con matchups. For one of those games they couldn't even give them all away and the few remaining tickets were purchased by a donor to preserve the sellout streak.

2. Link the emails that were sent to recent graduates that I work with here in Nebraska (also during the Callahan years) offering them the chance to get free tickets if they were one of the first X (don't remember the number as it was several years ago) to respond with the number of tickets they wanted - up to 4 each.

I understand Iowa's (and most other schools) thing about scheduling at least two patsies in the NC, but they have to expect that people are going to be less excited to see these games.
