Roy just told me "it's hard for new coaches like Fran to get any of the JRs or SRs in-state because kids are making decisions so early..."
I was joking before, but I honestly think I would have rage-attacked him.

Tell Roy how happy you were that you got Marcus Paige's autograph for free last year because this year he's been charging $50 bucks a pop for them.
LM wins 71-54. Oglesby had 16 on 1-10 3 point shooting (5-20 overall). 32 for Matt Bohannon.
I guess I see this as we're just replacing Gatens when he's done. I didn't see the game but I'm sure Josh was probably guarded pretty well and thus the difficulty scoring.Yeah, I have been lukewarm on Ogelsby from day one. Just don't see him bringing anything new to the table - Gatens, May, McCabe, Marble. I understand the desire to have an in-state kid to start off those connections, but I wish it would have been someone who offered a different skill set.

I think Marble (who is out of state btw) has much more potential, he has some handles and some length. If he works on his shot he can have outside game and also the penetration. I like Marble, but I see Ogelsby as a spot shooter on a good Iowa team in the future (like Gatens was supposed to be), not the 1 or 1a option.
I was there as well. Josh was guarded well yes but he missed a lot of open looks. He was forcing things and trying to do too much. In his defense his team was trailing most of the game and was.forced to try and make things happen.
Thats a pretty broad statement "unstoppable".I have a huge concern about a player who can't beat any and all Iowa basketball defenses being able to deal with Big Ten defenses. Big Ten recruits need to be basically unstoppable at the high school level.

Adam Haluska was a pretty darn good HS BB player and saw at least 50%of his HS games and he was shutdown at times. Always put up decent numbers but he could not carry the team all the time.
