Illinois - Iowa Game Thread

Well, the Hawks have hit 9-2. I don't know how the other games played out today but Iowa will be sitting near the top 10 going into Lincoln. In the top 10 going into Indy if we win out.

There will be a great deal of Ferentz nostalgia and perspective. Clearly coach of the year.

About that blocked extra point. A lot of betting money that would have gone one way ended up going the other. The line was Iowa minus 2.5

Anyone know what the over/under was? If it was 28.5 that got affected as well.

On a side note, was that the first time we've defeated a Bert coached team in Iowa City since Shonn Greene scored four TD's against Wisconsin in 2008? Wow that was a long time ago.

They probably switched to something more appropriate for their fan base after Iowa took the lead-like Hee Haw, Green Acres or Petticoat Junction.

He started off the scoring and ended it with a couple big plays those last drives. I loved how he lead the swarm off the field afterwards. He's the heart of those guys it looks like to me.

All three of them were. I was old enough to remember the final episodes of Green Acres and Petticoat Junction and definitely when it was in syndication.

When we toured the grand ole Opry we saw the studio were many Hee Haw shows were taped, and among the many artifacts was Minnie Pearl's hat with the signature price tag hanging off the brim.
