That's all that matters. Big win last Saturday - but it was last Saturday, and Illinois could give a crap that the Hawks won that game. Need to take of business in Iowa City. This team seems wired that way.

of all the fan bases in the Big 10, I think the Crying Illini hate Iowa more than anyone else

Their running back, and one of the starting wide receivers are out for the game.

Illinois is flatter than Iowa is.

This thread deserves a "Well Duh!!".

Having some nervousness against IllAnnoy in the 2nd game of the conference schedule is a good thing. It means as a fan your team is relevant. YOu wouldn't have been nervous the past 3 years.

Minnesota fans may have something to say about that.

I agree with this. Goofball fans have a wild hate fetish for anything Iowa. They do that chant in their sleep.
We are waaayyyy too nice to those goofs. When they come to town I want fans/players/etc to give them a rude awakening.

Amen. One game one snap at a time and everything will take care of itself. Our secondary won't do what Nebraska did and has done a few times this year and get beat deep. I'm not scared of Illinois but we can't let off the gas either. Their qb can make plays so him not feeling comfy in the pocket will be huge. He's better then Stave but he's not that mobile of a guy either. Like every qb if you hit him early and often he'll start playing tight.

Illinois fans are still holding a grudge against us with the whole Bruce Pearl Iowa/Ill basketball recruit thing that happened over 20 years ago.

I'd hate fans of a team too if they came into our stadium and tore our goalposts down and carried them around. Of course no other fans are awesome enough to ever do that though.

I think that posters from other parts of the state may disagree, but in my eastern Iowa/western Illinois world ... Their fans hate iowa more than they like their own team. And it's not close.

Hate the Pumpkinheads

Was there, and it was awesome. Should have seen the fear in the eyes of the security standing there waiting for the bum rush. Pure...terror.
