Illinois at IOWA prediction thread.

I have not made a prediction all year and we are 5-0. I'm not going to change the mojo. Abstaining.
 
Iowa 24, ILL 21

Iowa wins another close game, but only because ILL scores a late TD.
 
The cacaphonous wall of sound coming from a fired up homecoming crowd will quickly deflate the Illini and they will make their last-second win over a self-destructing Nebraska team look like the fluke that it was. 31-17 Herky
 
Illinois has a uphill battle this weekend. They squeaked past a dysfunctional Nebraska last week at home but this week they are coming to Kinnick with a squad that is held together with band aids and bailing wire. Wes Lunt is a pocket passer who is going to have Drew Ott and company in his face all game. Not to mention, Desmond King looking to add an interception or two. Defensively, Illinois needs to stop the run, something they haven't done all that well. Iowa pounds the ball, controls the clock and wins. 37-12
 
They are playing a weaker defense but a more dangerous offense this week.

Hawks offense will be key this week. I don't think we keep them scoreless.

Yup. Iowa wins, probably about 24-17. Takes awhile to neutralize Ill passing attack and IL starts out with a lot of emotion on D. No, I will revise that to 27-17.

I'm leaning this way.

ILL drives the field and gets plenty of yards but only scores 3 times. 1 FG, 2 TDs

Iowa scores 4 TDs and 1 FG.
