Also to put some other observations out there...

I can see Iowa beating Creighton in DM, but I can also see Iowa getting out of control against this Clemson team and losing by double-digits at home.

If ISU doesn't get off to a good start, that could be a really good battle in Ames. It's just that Iowa hasn't done well there recently (or in the past either). UNI hasn't been very good to the Hawks either - I remember a highly ranked Iowa team going in there (back when UNI played in the Dome) when I went to school there and they got upset causing the students to rush the floor. Neither game is out the reach of Iowa, but they will be tests, especially being the first true roadies.

I can also see Iowa winning in Bloomington but losing in Evanston, too.

I agree Forever. I think Iowa pulls out at least one of those, and if we are truly improved, I would think that we should be able to win a couple. That's one of the flaws in predicting a schedule, pre season, because it doesn't take into account momentum, other teams playing better/worse than expected, etc. I get that. But my concern is: if we start 0-7 in conference as stormin predicted here, I am not sure the team will have the confidence to get things back together to finish 8-3 the rest of the way. It also might keep the fans away, further hurting team enthusiasm. How does a team so down simply stop on a dime, and get momentum and confidence back. I hope I am wrong, but I do think they need to get out of the gate quicker in the Big 10 than what is predicted here in order to finish with a record close to the one stormin has projected.

But stormin, you've done a lot more research on this than I have, and bottom line: if we finish with the overall record you've predicted, I would consider this season a HUGE success. Thanks for your hard work and analysis.

I have a feeling that Brommer is going to be needed to achieve non conference wins.
Really need a five to play d and board up.
 
Nice work Stormin. I disagree with you about a couple of games (I think we beat UNI and lose at Nebraska), but other than that, I think (and hope) you are pretty close on the final outcome. That opening stretch in the Big Ten is going to be ugly for us, so I hope the fans hang in there and continue their support.

It's not exactly how Storminspank predicted, but have has many wins as he predicted at this point in the season; with the added bonus that have 2 MORE B1G win than predicted. Heads up, Hawks!
