If you live real close to Kinnick...read this

I have had issues doing Soundoff from KXIC this year...what I would like to do this Saturday is find a house close to Kinnick that has a ACTIVE standard telephone line in the home as well, and be able to do Soundoff from there, via some equipment we have. You would incur no costs, and I would buy pizza ;)

Seriously...let me know if this is something you wouldn't mind allowing in your home between around 7-10pm...I'll be out the door at 10:05p

Not to sound ignorant, but is Soundoff one of those call in shows that is like this board but with live radio callers? Jon - can you please give me the dial-in number and reserve 2 minutes of air time for "Pat from Evanston" on Saturday night, especially if the Hawks lose?

Props on thinking outside the box Jon! You should get one of the homeowners on Melrose to do this and build a setup outside on their lawn and then you can interview the stragglers tailgating afterwards.

Seriously man! GO AWAY!

I live in Kansas City so I can't be any help but this could be something really cool that could get going after each home game. I like the idea of setting up shop somewhere along Melrose near Kinnick.

:D

What time does the law liberry close? Have you thought of running a really long extension cord out of there and maybe using a magic jack connected to a laptop connected to a wireless card to transmit?

Enjoy the win. Also, enjoy being the last or 2nd to last Big Ten team picked by the bowls. It will come down to NW or Illinois.

maybe you should do it from the Press Box at the Little Rose Bowl in West Branch?

given those are your old stompin grounds, maybe someone could work it out for you.

just a thought. ha.

Define close...Cedar Rapids here. :)

live approximately a mile from kinnick, but not in one of the surrounding neighborhoods.

this all depends on what kind of pizza you're talking though. gumby's? not happening. Pagliai's? now you have my attention

Unfortunately it is not an option.

Just bum-rush a dorm room at Rienow/Slater/Hillcrest/Quad. They all have land-lines and those kids will be star-struck to have THE Jon Miller broadcasting live from their room.
You may have to buy more than pizza, if you get my drift, but it'll be worth it to all involved parties.
