Because he did not have anything to do with the scandal why would people not welcome him?

Now if Ferentz wanted to hire Sandusky, that would be pause for consideration...

by the looks of the pole there will be a lot of people happy, and very few unhappy clone fans

I wouldn't boycott the program, but I wouldn't welcome him with open arms either. I don't like anything the guy showed in his brief tenure as coach. Seemed way too defensive or accusatory or something in his Pressers following Paterno's removal.

Maybe that's just me though.

1. seemed there were plenty of people at ole PSU that knew about it for at least 12 years that didn't do anything about it or just turned the other cheek. Would it be that big of a shock to come out that person A or person B, C, D, E, F, etc. knew about it as well and didn't do anything?

2. Horrible choice by the new HC and the people in charge at PSU for not cleaning house, I think if the new coach would have been able to take over the program from day one it might have been different.

"If KF were to hire Bradley it would be a brillant move."

That's your opinion just as those of us that think hiring Bradley would be to big a risk.

Look I have said a million times that Bradley and any other coach or person around the program could have had no knowledge of what was going on (which I find very hard to believe they at least hadn't heard about rumors but I still say it's possible) that said until all of the investigation and trials are finished is it worth the risk????

What happens if Bradley becomes a witness in a civil lawsuit against the school, Sandusky, or JoePa? Is that good for the U of I?

I am pretty much done with this topic I think Bradley would be an AMAZING hire 2 or 3 years from now but with still too many unanswered questions in Happy Valley I think it's too big of a risk at this point in time.

Great post. I agree with Hoffa. I would bet there is a 99.999% likelihood that Bradley had no specific knowledge and did nothing wrong. However, if that's wrong and Bradley ends up getting arrested or implicated in something, it would ruin Iowa football. The same proles on here saying how great it would be to get him would start hundreds of Fire Ferentz, Fire Barta and Fire Mason threads and ask why they hired some guy associated with a program that had an accused child molester in its ranks. It would be Coker, plus Pierce, plus the blown kicks against Minnesota, plus the Wisconsin fake FG, plus any bad call O'Keefe has ever made (not many) TIMES 1,000,000.

In summary and to answer the initial question, if this guy came in here, I would absolutely support him, but if he came in here and then was implicated in a conspiracy to obstruct justice and harbor a child molester, it would be a cold day in hell before I contributed a penny of revenue to the Iowa Athletic Department again. I like to think that with our standing and the revenues generated by "ticket donations" and the BTN, we aren't in a position where we have to "roll the dice" on hiring the second or third in command for the football team.
