If Michigan State Can Do It, Why Not Iowa?

McNutt was fielding several D1 offers for Bball. He or Sash probably could help the most but I doubt either would consider it. How about Nordman?

No. McNutt was a stud BB player in HS, could have played D1. A lot of people were wondering which sport he was going to pick. Tony M is supposed to be a good baller too (I've never seen him play).

My OP was more tongue in cheek, but, hell at this point, why not? ;)

I am referring to an interview they were doing about playing bb. this season. i'm sure it was mcnutt talking about moeaki. there is a video clip out there on this.

Edit: Now that I think of it, I think this was Stanzi talking about Moeaki/McNutt on basketball.

Yes, you are right, they talked BB during the FB season.
 
Moeaki plays all the time at the field house so he might as well be playing for the Hawks

No on McNutt - we cant risk any of our valuable current players getting hurt just for entertainment value. Plus, McNutt is bound to get that nose broken by a flying elbow without helmet protection

Probably break his nose on the rim, he can jump so high.
 
PG - Sash / SG - Stanzi or DJK / SF - McNutt / PF - Moeaki / C - Clayborn

I bet they could give the real bball team a run for their money. :)
 
Back when I went to Iowa there were some pretty damn good ballers from the football team that we would play with on occasion at the field house. Willie Guy, Nick Gallery, to name a few. Back then those guys were good but would not have played for our basketball team. Today I don't think that's the case. I'm almost positive there are kids on the fball team that would play significant minutes on our bb team.

I was on here really late, or early I guess- around 4am reading all the bios of the football roster to see if any were standout basketball players.

I have been thinking the same thing. There is no question there is 1 or 2 guys on that roster that could provide something for us.
 
For a normal coach, it would be nice, but here at IOWA with Yodaliter, the system has to be with you, so patient you must be for it to learn.
