If being an idiot is a fireable offense, Pollard should fire himself.

Probably due to the lack of success in revenue sports. Basketball and football have been terrible during his tenure, and I think most think football will regress quite a bit this year. Hit a good hire with Rhoads, but the rest of them have been questionable. However, Sanderson, McD, and Chizik were all homerun hires at the time. The only hire I ever questioned Pollard for was Rhoads, a coach I had never heard of before. Guess that turned out okay.
I agree...those hires weren't great...but attendance didn't suffer much under it...and donations actually went up considerably. I'm not sure how that is possible...but maybe ISU has a little bit of the Cubs fan base in them. It would be an interesting case study.
If I was Pollard, I'd fire him just for being an idiot.

You hadn't heard of Rhoads?
If it was so important to coach his kid why didn't his kid sign to play with him at ISU? and just because his kid was signed to play for UNI how does that translate into a factor for taking the Creighton job?
