Had to give myself 24 hours to vent before getting on any hawk sites. The time has come and the bitter taste is still fresh in my mouth. (Thanks BTN for looping the loss)
Everyone has stated the obvious. Instead of playing not to lose, it would be nice to see an Iowa team that plays to WIN.
Lets begin.
Coker was p*ssy footing out there, although he didn't get much help from the O-line, you're 230lbs, play like it. O-Line: Is this the same group that everyones been touting as a top BIG unit? It didn't look like it.
Can we get Canzeri out there? Or someone who can get out on the edge? Running up the gut every down only works w/a dominant O-line.
Same ole' same ole' on defense as we've been eaten up by the spread O before, nothing new here, fast QBs are tough for this scheme. Having said that I have never seen a slower less effective Iowa D-line than I saw yesterday.
Castillo-(insert explitives of your choosing)
The three that came to PLAY: McNutt, Davis, Prater. Thought they played well(minus the one Davis drop). Nico Law brought the pain on kick off coverage, like to see that intensity.
Kirk: You didn't trust Vandy in 09. Outcome: OT loss. Vandy's a junior now, maybe its time to let him spread those wings and fly
...Not so fast mister, I think we'll run out the clock and go into OT AGAIN...let me get this straight, you trust him in OT, but not w/1:20 left to get into FG range? How does this make sense?
Norm, way to mix it up a bit...in the 4th quarter and OT. Coulda done so a bit sooner, maybe theres a time delay from the press box to the sideline. Maybe we need some new equipment?
KOK-LOVE LOVE LOVE the McNutt pass call...
All in all, great game. We played to WIN and left it all on the field, best coaching I've seen in a while...
