Davidson is a decent team and is certainly capable of beating us. I'm having visions of raining 3s. I haven't been sleeping well lately. Long, high arching, rainbow 3 pt shots coming from everywhere. Their head coach even gets into the act during the half time break.

No, just his inability to win ANY tourney games outside of the NIT. His record in the BIG10 tourney is pretty sad.

I do have to say - it's high time Iowa wins a tournament game. It's been 14 years. I just want to see that streak end. TOMORROW.
Sounds to me like your opinion has already been formed. I don't see why 1 game should change your mind. I like how you pretty much say he can't win tournament games other than the one's he won though.

I think the frustration comes from Fran taking over a perennial title contender like Iowa BB and only getting them to the tournament two years straight after making it to the NIT championship the year before that. It's like we're moving backwards in reverse.

Well, yeah it probably would around these parts.
Fran wins vs. Davidson=fans will acknowledge how far he's brought the program and how excited they are for the future.
Fran loses vs. Davidson=fans will wonder about the future of the program and state a belief that Fran just can't win a big game.

The improvement has been incremental. Since it hasn't been dramatic, its time to run the coach. Crazy. Getting a different coach doesn't mean it'll get better. If any fan base should know that, it's us.

Agreed, but that's apples and oranges. MBB has improved each if the last 4 years. Football is stagnant at best.
