If Iowa had...

I'm over my IAstate friends telling me "Iowa State has the hardest schedule in the nation, and if Iowa had it they would not make it to a bowl ether."

1) No one is denying that they have the hardest schedule.
2) Why are you already making excuses for not making it to a bowl game before playing the first snap of the year?
3) I don't care how Iowa would do because it's NOT their schedule!
4) The daily grind of the big ten season is not a walk in the park.

Last point) We will never know how Iowa would do, because they don't play that schedule. I would like to think that Iowa fans would not make excuses before the season starts. And if we were playing the what if scenario I would think Iowa could pull out 7 wins in that schedule. I am sick of hearing IAstate fans say they could not win 7 games, no way.

Here they are as I see it 7 Wins, and I don't think these are homer picks.
UNI
replace iowa with Iowa state
connecticut
balyor
missouri
kansas
kansas state

Iowa could at least win two of the other 5 games

How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop?

you'll also often hear clownnation say that if they were in the b10, they'd be in the rose bowl. and iowa in the b12 would be in the same situation that they are in - the bottom.

delusion.

There schedule always seems harder because by losing to all the teams they do you increase their rankings and records. If you actually beat some of those teams, your schedule doesn't look nearly as hard.

Blah blah blah... ISU plays in the Big XII which means they have to play good teams. Deal with it. Iowa plays in the Big Ten, which as someone said, isn't exactly cupcake city.

I love Big XII homers thinking their conference is by far better than any other.

Interestingly the move of Nebraska tilts the traditional power discussion significantly toward the Big Ten. Before it was 3 (Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraska) and 3 (Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State)... Now it is 2 and 4.

Ah yes, one of the favorite words for ISU fans.... "if"

Here's another if:

"If" ISU was in the Big Ten, I doubt their record would be much different than it will be this year.. They would have to play teams like OSU, PSU, Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, etc.

ISU winning in the Shoe, the Big House or Happy Valley? Right.

One of the reasons ISU sometimes has a tougher schedule than us is because they have to play Iowa every year, and we only play ISU.

Ah poor Clowns they have to play some tough games. Like Nebraska, Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State, Northwestern are easy games.

Most years TOSU, Michigan State, Michigan, Penn State and Wisconsin are ranked in the top 20. Not to mention the years when Northwestern pops in there. Teams like Purdue, Indiana and Illinois don't exactly roll over for the top B10 teams either.

ISU thinking their schedule is the toughest in the land is Laughable. As someone pointed out earlier they reason they think its so tuff is cause they never win. Just a quick glance at their schedule they have 7 maybe 8 teams that were bowlers, and only four teams in the pre-season top 25. You would think they would build off a Texas win last year and have some PRIDE.

Baylor is a team that i think is gonna surprise alot of people this year. They have some keys games at home and have TCU right off the bat at home. Griffin III is no slouch in my eyes hes only second to OUs landry jones in the B12.
