I want BB as our next head coach

NO, I wouldn't know anything about 'team' sport, lol. I started on a state championship team, coached a state championship team, coached at all levels for 27 yrs., coached 3 guys that played in the NFL, etc. etc. etc....what the hell would I know, LOL....... and I'm an excellent driver.....lol.... I've got nothing on you, ol Josh. I bow to your authority, lol.........

Dude, you're getting DESTROYED IN THIS THREAD. Kinda like when you participated in the Special Olympics and got owned by Corky.

CJ wasn't the problem today. The interception was a fair amount of luck for NDSU as it flew right to their defender. Most of the sacks aren't on CJ as our COACHING staff didn't ever look prepared for their obvious blitzes.

The oskie took a lucky path but that was on Croston -who had a crap day.
Crucial, drive killing motion, then beat on a simple outside rush where his guy broke CJ in half for the oskie. Also gave up a second sack. Couldn't consistently clear running lanes. Just not good.
He had a lot of company across the front, too!

It was a team loss.

Dropsies
Missed tackles
Missed blocks
Knee at the end of the first half
Coachs - players - bad refs

ickE must luv looking like a fool to tangle with a master like me

I was thinking today, Ferentz will be in his mid 80's and still coaching the Hawks. He'll come down the tunnel before kickoff in his walker or wheelchair with Back in Black over the speakers. He'll probably need a nap at each half time. He's gonna out last us all:) He'll still be the head coach when our great grandkids are adults.

I was thinking theyd prob push him out in a Gerry chair.

I honestly think Iowa wins without those back to back pass drops. I think if the first was caught Iowa continues to go down the field and scores and changes the course of the game. Just a feeling.

It was a simple outside rush, LOL. It was a well executed weak-side 'crash' and Croston was a little slow at picking it up because of the D-end 'loop' they ran in front of him. The other 2 sacks were pretty much on Daniels not picking up the blitz........................The whole team had a 'crap' day including CJ..............

Yes, there was no RB to help on the blitz when they got the pick 6. L side did not block for CJ's blind side & CJ prob held on the ball just a bit too long. It was either a d-back or LB who lined up outside the D end and came through. Watched it this morning.

Our next coach? Did you forget that Barta just extended Kirk until 2026? For better or worse, we're stuck with him. May as well get the "next coach" stuff outta your head until KF retires, or another 6-7 years goes by.
Barta screwed us for an entire generation.

BB is a blowhard DB. Reminds me of Bobby Petrino. No way in hades do I want him roaming the Iowa sidline.

I was hoping to avoid bringing this up . . . but . . . I'm a trust-fund baby with an extra 75 million floating around in one of my off-shore accounts. I am seriously considering buying out someone's contract so we can get the package deal known as BB/Calloway.

BB would be my choice, with CP from Boise/WA up there too.

BB would bring back Hayden type football. BB is also a much better recruiter than KF, so the "we're just Iowa" talk wouldn't fly.

Would we go 12-0 every year? No
Would we have some off years if injuries or younger teams ? Yes
Would we lose so many games we're double digit favorites? Not a chance.

I think BB could match KF in regards to records against the better BIG10 teams. Where BB would eclipse KF is pounding the bad teams.

Just think of KF record here, or the better bowl games we go to if he didn't lose to ISU NINE times, or central and western Michigan's of the world.

Why would Chris Petersen evern leave Washington for Iowa. I hate to say it but Washington and Petersen can get a ton of great west coast talent to go to Seattle. Wash is rated #9 and CP hasnt been there that long. CP was able to get those recruits to Boise St and look what he did there. Very hard to get speedy skill position players to Iowa. Not to say a really top offensive minded coach cant do this. Part of the problem is KF is known for a conservative offense so top wideouts are not coming here and we seldom have top QBs.

I mentioned Chris Petersen when he was still at Boise but once he went to a good P5 school he is not coming here unless you get him 10 years from now.
