I know that the "cool" thing to do these days is to bash O'Keefe, but think back to 2004. We lost at ASU and Michigan due to some defensive letdowns and then didn't lose again. And that was without our top 5 running backs and a group of receivers that was good, but nowhere near as talented as this group. If we lose Wegher, that 2004 playbook comes back out and you'll see a steady diet of bubble screens, jailbreak screens and quick outs to make up for the lack of a running attack. Ken's put the bubble screen away because it has a propensity to score too fast and turn the field back over to the defense without an adequate rest, but if necessity dictates that we have to run 6 screens a game to Sandeman, get ready to yell because the I-O-W-A chant will be starting soon. Ken's intentionally kept the playbook closed this year because he's worried about the defense being on the field too long, if he opens it up, things are going to get downright ugly for our competition.
