I have literally never been more disappointed in my entire life.

This has capped off what I'm now considering the lowest weekend I've experienced ever. I just feel like throwing up all night; there's no way I'll be able to sleep.

My weekend started off with hearing the news that Dallas Clark, my favorite NFL player by a longshot, is out for the SEASON, which really hurts the Colts and lowers my interest in the NFL.

Then the Yankees got knocked out of the playoffs by the RANGERS; we were ordained by God to win the World Series this year because of Steinbrenner's death but we won't even get there which is probably the most depressing thing.

To cap off the worst weekend ever, Iowa loses by ONE POINT to Wisconsin when they could have put the game away at many points and even won by not making idiot mistakes like missing a PAT.

Sigh...

It was a bad game to lose. There is no doubt about it. Too many missed opportunities. Had Wiscy dominated us on every front I would have no problem, but we had sooooooooooooooo many "what ifs" left on the field today that it just makes this loss so tough to swallow.

Man, it was so fun to watch you guys lose to my boys last nite in the ALCS- claws and antlers! But in more important news, yes it sucked WE lost tonight!

At least now we won't have to suffer the inevitable "Steinbrenner Tribute" BS that I'm sure the networks were planning. Screw a bunch Yankees. Go Rangers!!!!

I wish I had your life if the most depressing thing to ever happen is to have a guy you likely never knew get hurt, a team lose in the playoffs, and a football team lose. What are you going to do when real problems come along?

I love the literal people in this thread

Yea! Cyclone fans finally show up!

get a grip. ever had a relative die?

I wont lie, pretty much my first thought as well.

Yep, it sucks Iowa lost...I hate it and felt sick. However, at a certain point in your life you grow up and dont let football ruin your entire life, let alone have it be the most disappointing part of your life.

I am sure he means the most disappointing weekend in terms of his life as a sports fan. I say just think how the players must feel!

The OP said "disappointed". When you are disappointed with somebody or something it usually means that person or thing did an action that would make you disappointed. I would not consider somebody dying a disappointment, unless the person killed themselves or was driving drunk, in which case their actions leading to their death would be disappointing.
